QESCO Jobs 2026 – Chief Internal Auditor, Quetta Electric Supply Company
Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO), one of Pakistan's largest public-sector electricity distribution companies serving over 700,000 consumers across Balochistan (except Lasbela District), has announced one vacancy for the position of Chief Internal Auditor, purely on a contract basis, open to male and female candidates from all over Pakistan on open merit. Eligible candidates must be a member of a recognized professional accounting body or hold relevant certifications (CIA, CFE, or Certified Internal Control Auditor) with at least 10 years of relevant audit experience in the energy & power sector, or alternatively hold a Master's qualification (16 years of education) in Audit, Accounting, or Finance with at least 15 years of relevant experience, with a maximum age limit of 55 years. The role reports to QESCO's Audit Committee and comes with a QESCO C-Level (QEPS-I) package on an initial two-year contract, extendable up to three years; interested candidates should submit their detailed CV, photographs, CNIC copy, and experience certificates via courier to QESCO Headquarters, Quetta Cantt, by September 18, 2026.

Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) is one of the geographically largest distribution companies of electricity in the public sector, serving more than 700,000 consumers with 6,000 employees and an annual revenue base of more than Rs. 82 billion, covering an operational area across Balochistan except Lasbela District. QESCO's charter is to provide reliable and safe electric power supply to its consumers within its jurisdiction.
The services of a dynamic and high-caliber professional candidate (male & female) from all over Pakistan are required for the post of "Chief Internal Auditor," purely on a contract basis.

About the Role
The Chief Internal Auditor (CIA) will be responsible for all internal audit-related activities of Quetta Electric Supply Company Limited (QESCO) and will report to the Audit Committee of QESCO.
Eligibility Criteria
- Member of a recognized body of professional accountants; or Certified Internal Auditor; or Certified Fraud Examiner; or Certified Internal Control Auditor, with at least 10 years of relevant audit experience in the energy & power sector.
- Alternatively, a person holding a Master's qualification (16 years of education) in Audit, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent, from a university/institute recognized by the Higher Education Commission, with at least 15 years of relevant audit experience.
- Experience must be post-qualification.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Candidates must comply with the Fit and Proper Criteria as laid down in the Act and/or policy.
- Upper age limit is 55 years.
Compensation Package
The candidate will be offered the QESCO C-Level (QEPS-I) package. The appointment shall initially be made for a period of two years, extendable annually on a performance basis, for a maximum period of three years.
Skills/Abilities
i. Expertise in conducting large-scale internal audits of multi-dimensional public/private organization(s).
ii. Sound understanding and working knowledge of finance, audit, accounting systems, and corporate finance to carry out transparent and intelligent internal audits.
iii. Excellent analytical, financial, and communication skills.
iv. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other financial/audit-related software.
Job Description
Specific tasks of the Chief Internal Auditor shall include, but are not limited to, the following:
i. Develop and implement internal audit strategies, plans, and methodologies in alignment with the organization's goals and objectives.
ii. Evaluate accounting, financial, credit, and other operational activities as an independent appraisal function.
iii. Ensure effective management of the company's financial resources.
iv. Review and appraise the soundness, adequacy, and application of accounting, financial, and operational controls.
v. Identify key risks and areas of focus for internal audit activities based on an assessment of business processes, systems, and controls.
vi. Formulate internal audit programs so that all aspects of financial transactions are audited.
vii. Prepare reports, observations, comments, and recommendations based on audit findings.
viii. Identify weaknesses, deficiencies, or gaps that could expose the organization to operational or compliance risks.
ix. Develop an effective team of competent subordinates who understand and are able to discharge the obligations of their positions/jobs.
x. Undertake special investigations at the directives of the Audit Committee or Board.
xi. Provide training, coaching, and feedback to internal audit team members to enhance their technical expertise, audit skills, and professional development.
xii. Perform any other functions or responsibilities assigned by the Audit Committee or Board.

Important Notes
i. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview.
ii. No TA/DA will be provided for the interview.
iii. On selection against a C-level position, the person(s) shall be required to sign a contract with the company as approved by the Board.
iv. In case a government servant, an employee of the company, or an employee of another public sector organization is selected through a competitive process against a C-level position, they shall either resign from their service or seek early retirement before joining. No deputation or lien shall be allowed in any case.
