The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police, under the Ministry of Interior & Narcotics Control, has announced 1,624 vacancies for Executive Staff positions, including Sub-Inspector (BS-14, 60 posts), Assistant Sub-Inspector (BS-11, 24 posts), and Constable (BS-07, 1,540 posts), allocated across Open Merit and provincial/regional quotas for ICT, Punjab, Sindh, KPK, Balochistan, NA/FATA, AJK, and GB. Eligible candidates must be aged 18 to 25 years, hold a BA/B.Sc for SI/ASI posts or Matric for Constable, and meet specified height, chest, and endurance test standards. Interested applicants must apply online through www.npftas.pk or www.islamabadpolice.gov.pk within 15 days of the advertisement's publication, along with a non-refundable Rs. 2,000 processing fee per post, with the closing date for age calculation set at September 2, 2026.

About the ICT

The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police, operating under the Ministry of Interior & Narcotics Control, has announced a large-scale recruitment drive for Executive Staff (Law & Order) positions for 2026. Applications are invited from suitable Pakistani nationals, both male and female, against posts allocated according to the provincial/regional quota set by the Federal Government to ensure transparency and merit-based selection.

Mandatory Documents for Interview

Candidates must bring the following original documents at the time of interview:

1. CNIC issued by NADRA
2. Academic certificates
3. Domicile certificate
4. Two passport-size photographs with a blue background
5. An affidavit countersigned by the respective Deputy Commissioner, applicable only when applying under the minorities (non-Muslim) quota

General Instructions

• Applications must be submitted online only, through www.npftas.pk or www.islamabadpolice.gov.pk, within 15 days of the advertisement's publication.
• The cut-off date for age calculation is the closing date, September 2, 2026.
• A non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 2,000 per application/per post is required, payable via 1Link-1Bill Service through any bank, ATM, internet banking, Easypaisa, JazzCash, U Paisa, or TimePay using the 24-digit PSID generated from the online fee challan.
• Candidates applying for more than one post must pay the fee separately for each post; however, the physical test needs to be passed only once for candidates applying to multiple posts.
• Applications submitted by hand, courier, or through any channel other than the official online portal will not be accepted; physical documents are only required at the interview stage.
• No relaxation in height, chest, or age will be granted to any candidate.
• Applicants must provide accurate information — submission of false information is punishable under Sections 420/468/471 PPC (forgery/fraud/cheating), carrying imprisonment of up to seven years.
• Candidates must disclose any involvement in criminal cases on the online application portal and submit a supporting affidavit at the interview stage; false declarations will result in cancellation of the application and permanent debarment from future police recruitment, along with possible legal action.
• Transgender applicants may apply according to their self-perceived gender identity, in line with the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2018, and as recorded on their CNIC.
• Government employees meeting the eligibility criteria must apply through the proper departmental channel.
• Candidates applying under the family claim quota (children/grandchildren of serving, retired, or deceased police employees) must provide complete supporting documentation, such as the Family Registration Certificate and pension/retirement order, at the interview stage.
• Character and academic background verification will be conducted for selected candidates; any bogus information, criminal record, or false affidavit discovered later will result in immediate cancellation of selection or discharge from service, along with legal proceedings.
• Candidates may select two preferred test centers on the application portal, though final center assignment rests solely with ICT Police.
• Candidates should wear joggers or suitable footwear and bring their own drinking water for the endurance test, and must arrange a medical fitness check from a government or district hospital prior to the test.
• Only candidates who qualify the physical/endurance and written/computer-based tests will be called for interview; failing any stage disqualifies the candidate from proceeding further.
• The Departmental Recruitment Board (DRB) will re-verify physical standards at the interview stage, and its decision will be final.
• Candidates with higher qualifications will be given preference only at the interview stage.
• Final selection is subject to a complete medical examination by the Federal Government's medical board/Civil Surgeon; candidates found with Hepatitis B, C, or other chronic ailments will be disqualified.
• No TA/DA will be admissible for any written, computer-based, physical, endurance, skill, or interview stage.
• Candidates must provide an active mobile number that has not been ported to another network, and should regularly check the application portal, SMS, and email for updates.
• ICT Police reserves the right to modify or cancel the number of posts, the advertisement, or the recruitment process at any stage.
