About NACTA

The National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) is a Federal Government body responsible for coordinating and implementing Pakistan's counter-terrorism and counter-extremism strategy, headquartered in Islamabad.

Eligibility Criteria

Education:

• 16 years of education in Peace and Conflict Studies, International Relations (IR), Media & Communication Studies, Strategic Studies, Cyber Security, AI, Data Science, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Security, or Digital Forensics, from any HEC-approved institution.

Experience:

• 0–2 years' post-qualification experience in the relevant field.
• Experience in OSINT, SOCMINT, GEOINT, Threat Intelligence, Digital Investigations, Online Research, and Analytical Reporting preferred; relevant international certifications considered an added advantage.
• Experience in developing and managing AI/software applications.
• Knowledge of media management, basic administration and education, with specialized knowledge in peace and conflict resolution, narrative building, and counter-terrorism/extremism.

General Information / Instructions

1. The contract period will be initially for 6 months, likely to become permanent based on performance evaluation.
2. Eligible candidates must apply online through the National Job Portal: https://njp.gov.pk. No manual or hard copy applications will be accepted by any office.
3. Candidates must bring original documents (Educational, Domicile, Experience Certificates, etc.), along with one set of attested copies, at the time of interview.
4. The Authority reserves the right not to fill any vacancy, or to reduce/increase the number of vacancies, if circumstances so warrant at the time of final selection.
5. Candidates working in Public Sector Departments/Organizations must apply through the proper channel and submit a Departmental Permission Certificate at the time of interview, failing which they will not be allowed to participate.
6. In addition to the 5 years' general age relaxation already included, further age relaxation is admissible as per the (Relaxation of Upper Age Limit) Rules, 1993.
7. Minimum and maximum age will be calculated as on the closing date for receipt of applications.
8. Information provided in the online application will be verified; false or forged information will result in cancellation of candidature (even after employment, if revealed later) and legal action.
9. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for test/interview; all candidates will be allowed to appear provisionally, subject to detailed eligibility scrutiny.
10. No TA/DA will be admissible for test/interview.
11. Last date for submission: 15 days from the date of publication of the advertisement; applications received after the closing date will not be entertained.
12. Finally selected candidates will be offered appointment subject to security clearance from relevant authorities.
