Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), Islamabad, has announced one vacancy for the position of Lead Data Scientist (E-3) at its Head Office. Eligible candidates must hold a Master's or Bachelor's degree (16 years of education) in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Software Engineering/IT from an HEC-recognized institute, along with a minimum of 8 years of experience in Data Science, AI, Machine Learning, Advanced Analytics, or Predictive Modeling, and must not exceed 40 years of age (relaxable by up to 3 years with Authority approval). Interested candidates should download the application form from www.ogra.org.pk and submit it, along with required documents, via post mail to the HR Department, OGRA Head Office, Islamabad, by September 12, 2026.

About the Organization

Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) intends to invite applications from suitable candidates for appointment against the position of Lead Data Scientist at its Head Office in Islamabad.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification: A Master's or Bachelor's degree (16 years of education) in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Software Engineering/Information Technology, or an equivalent degree from an institute recognized by HEC.

Experience: A minimum of 8 years of experience in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Advanced Analytics, or Predictive Modeling.

Age Limit: Maximum 40 years.

Important Instructions

• Only the most suitable shortlisted candidates will be called for test/interview; selection will be made purely on merit.
• No TA/DA will be admissible to candidates for test/interview.
• Candidates must download the application form from the OGRA website (www.ogra.org.pk) and submit a typed copy of the form along with a passport-size photograph, attested copies of academic certificates/degrees, experience certificates, CNIC, and domicile certificate. Applications should reach the HR Department, OGRA Head Office, Islamabad, by post mail, no later than September 12, 2026.
• Application forms filled improperly, incompletely, or without the requisite documents will not be entertained.
• Provincial quota will be observed.
• Candidates should mark the envelope for the post applied.
• Persons working in Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous bodies/Semi-autonomous bodies/Corporations should apply through the proper channel and, if selected, will need to resign or seek retirement from their current post/organization before joining OGRA.
• Candidates with working experience in Government and Autonomous bodies, with relevant experience, may be given preference.
• The maximum age limit may be relaxed with the approval of the Authority, by a maximum period of 3 years only.
• The Competent Authority reserves the right to accept or reject applications, or scrap this recruitment process, without stating any reason whatsoever.
