Role

10Pearls is hiring a Senior Principal Data Engineer to lead the design and delivery of scalable batch and real-time data solutions. You'll bring deep expertise in modern data platforms and cloud technologies, and play a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization — with data quality, governance, and operational excellence built in from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable batch and real-time data pipelines that keep pace with growing data volume and complexity
• Architect and optimize data solutions across cloud and on-premises platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
• Develop data models, data marts, and data domains, laying the groundwork for a Data Mesh architecture
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT workflows for efficient data integration and transformation
• Partner with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, production-ready data solutions
• Enforce data quality, governance, security, and compliance across the data ecosystem, including access controls, data masking, and encryption
• Automate deployment, scheduling, monitoring, and lifecycle management of data pipelines and datasets
• Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot data issues, and provide L2/L3 production support
• Build and maintain data orchestration frameworks aligned with DataOps best practices
• Continuously optimize data infrastructure, proactively identifying bottlenecks and recommending improvements for scalability and performance
• Contribute to architecture discussions, data strategy, and roadmap planning
• Implement disaster recovery, business continuity, and risk management controls for data platforms
• Support audit, compliance, and regulatory requirements tied to data management
• Work with the Incident Management team to track, resolve, and report on data platform incidents and follow-up actions
• Define and track KPIs for data engineering deliverables in line with business goals
• Collaborate across teams to ensure smooth project delivery and production deployments
• Maintain technical documentation, standards, and best practices across data engineering initiatives
