SESSI Jobs 2026 – IT Consultant Positions, Karachi
Sindh Employees Social Security Institution (SESSI) has announced 3 senior-level, full-time contractual/project-based IT Consultant positions at its Karachi office: Senior Consultant/Lead-Digital Health & IT Transformation, Senior Consultant – Data Centre, Infrastructure & Networks, and Senior Consultant – Software Systems & Applications. Eligible candidates must hold Sindh domicile, at least 16 years of education (Master's or Bachelor's, depending on post) in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline from an HEC-recognized institution, along with 12 to 20 years of post-qualification experience, including 7 years in a senior leadership/technical role in a government organization, with maximum age limits of 45 to 55 years. About the Position
Applications are invited for the following positions of Senior-level Consultants in the field of Information Technology. Applicants must hold a valid domicile of Sindh Province. These are purely full-time contractual/project-based positions.

Eligibility Criteria
1. Senior Consultant/Lead-Digital Health & IT Transformation
Qualification: Minimum 16 years of education with an HEC-recognized Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline. An additional recognized qualification in Health Management, Hospital Administration, or Public Health is preferred. Relevant professional certification in enterprise architecture, cyber security, cloud computing, health informatics, or IT service management will be an advantage.
Experience: Minimum 20 years of post-qualification experience in IT, enterprise systems, digital transformation, or technology-enabled institutional reform in any government organization; at least 7 years in a senior leadership or program/e-management role involving teams, budgets, vendors, and multi-stakeholder delivery; and at least 5 years of demonstrable experience in healthcare automation, digital health, HIMS/HMIS, hospital systems, telemedicine, health insurance, social protection, or comparable health-sector technology. Demonstrated experience in enterprise applications, mobile systems, integration/APIs, databases, analytics, cloud/data-center infrastructure, cyber security, and disaster recovery, along with requirements analysis, PC-1, TOR/RFP preparation, technical evaluation, vendor and SLA management, and data migration is required. A strong understanding of healthcare workflows and allied administrative processes (HR, finance, procurement, payroll, attendance, pharmacy, inventory, asset management, OPD, referrals, diagnostics, patient privacy, data governance, and management reporting) is essential.
2. Senior Consultant – Data Centre, Infrastructure & Networks
Qualification: Minimum 16 years of education with an HEC-recognized Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Network Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a closely related discipline. A Master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred. Relevant current certification in enterprise networking, network security, virtualization, Linux/Windows server administration, cloud storage, data-center operations, IT service management, or project management will be an advantage.
Experience: Minimum 12 years of post-qualification experience in data-center infrastructure, enterprise networks, system administration, cloud, or cyber security operations; at least 7 years in a senior infrastructure, network, data-center, systems, or technical operations leadership role in any government organization. Proven experience designing, implementing, or operating at least one enterprise infrastructure project, including a multi-site network or data-center environment, with demonstrated experience in routing/switching, firewalls, VPN/SD-WAN, virtualization, servers, storage, backup, directory services, monitoring, and high availability. Experience in disaster-recovery planning, cyber security controls, incident response, capacity planning, 24/7 operational support, site surveys, TOR/RFP and BOQ preparation, vendor management, and SLA monitoring, along with working knowledge of data-center power, UPS, cooling, fire suppression, environmental monitoring, physical security, structured cabling, and health-and-safety controls.
3. Senior Consultant – Software Systems & Applications
Qualification: Minimum 16 years of education with an HEC-recognized Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline. A Master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred. Relevant certification in software architecture, database management, cloud application development, DevOps, cyber security, project management, or health informatics will be an advantage.
Experience: Minimum 12 years of post-qualification experience in Software Engineering, enterprise applications, system integration, or digital transformation; at least 7 years in a senior software architecture, technical lead, solution-delivery, or application-management role in any government organization. Proven experience delivering at least two enterprise applications through requirements, design, development/configuration, integration, migration, testing, rollout, and support, with demonstrated experience in web and mobile applications, APIs, relational databases, reporting/analytics, source control, CI/CD, and secure software development. Experience with HIMS/HMIS, telemedicine, ERP, HRMS, finance, or comparable enterprise systems is preferred, along with a strong understanding of healthcare workflows and allied administrative processes.
