About the Organization

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has invited applications from Pakistani nationals for several contract-based positions under various PSDP-funded development projects, including scholarship and fellowship programs for Afghan students, overseas PhD scholarships, the US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor, a postdoctoral fellowship program, and a faculty development program for Pakistani universities.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Project Director – PPS-09 – 01 Post

• Education: Master's degree (16 years) or equivalent, at least 2nd Division, from an HEC-recognized university/institution.
• Experience: 7 years in a public/private sector organization of good repute, including 5 years of managerial experience after the final degree.
• Age limit: Up to 62 years.

2. Law Officer – PPS-08 – 01 Post

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent from an HEC-recognized university/institution.
• Experience: 5 years as a practicing lawyer in services or corporate law.
• Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in MS Office is required.
• Age limit: Up to 50 years.

3. Project Manager (US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor) – PPS-08 – 01 Post

• Education: Master's/Bachelor's degree (16 years) or equivalent, at least 2nd Division, from an HEC-recognized university/institution.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in a public/private sector organization of good repute, including 3 years at a managerial/supervisory level.
• Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project is compulsory.
• Age limit: Up to 50 years.

4. Project Manager (Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme) – PPS-07 – 02 Posts

• Education: Master's/Bachelor's degree (16 years) or equivalent, at least 2nd Division, from an HEC-recognized university/institution.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including 2 years of mid-level management experience after the final degree, in a public/private sector organization.
• Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project is required.
• Quota: 1 post for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 1 post for Punjab.
• Age limit: Up to 40 years.

5. Project Accountant – PPS-07 – 01 Post

• Education: MBA (Finance), M.Com, or CMA (16 years education), at least 2nd Division, from an HEC-recognized university/institution.
• Experience: 3 years in a private/public sector organization of good repute, including 1 year of mid-level management experience after the final degree.
• Quota: Sindh (Urban) = 1.
• Age limit: Up to 40 years.

6. Office Assistant – PPS-05 – 02 Posts

• Education: Graduation (14 years), at least 2nd Division, from an HEC-recognized university/institution.
• Experience: 2 years of work experience in a public/private sector organization of good repute.
• Skills: Advanced use of MS Office is required.
• Quota: 1 post for Sindh (Rural), 1 post for Punjab.
• Age limit: Up to 40 years.

7. Attendant – PPS-01 – 01 Post

• Education: Matriculate.
• Experience: 1 year of relevant experience.
• Quota: Local based.
• Age limit: Up to 35 years.

Pay Package

Salaries are project pay scale (PPS)-based and all-inclusive, except for the Attendant post, which follows the minimum wage rate:

• Project Director (PPS-09): Rs. 398,130/month
• Law Officer / Project Manager (PPS-08): Rs. 295,320/month
• Project Manager / Project Accountant (PPS-07): Rs. 212,630/month
• Office Assistant (PPS-05): Rs. 94,500/month
• Attendant (PPS-01): Rs. 40,700/month (minimum wage rate)

Terms & Conditions

• "Experience" means experience gained after obtaining the minimum required qualification.
• Tests will be conducted at the nearest possible location for candidates: Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Karachi, Lahore, Quetta, or Peshawar.

• No TA/DA is admissible for appearing in the test or interview.
• Candidates already in government service should apply through the proper channel. Five years of general age relaxation are already included in the age limits above; further relaxation follows government rules.
• Part-time, honorary, apprentice, and internee experience (as part of a study program) will not be counted as experience.
• Selected candidates can be posted anywhere in Pakistan.
• HEC reserves the right to reject any or all applications without giving a reason, and to increase or decrease the number of vacancies as required.
