About the Organization

Water and Sanitation Services Peshawar (WSSP), a Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa entity, is looking for a highly qualified, experienced, dynamic, and passionate professional with strong operational, financial, and commercial skills to serve as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The position is on a contractual basis for a fixed, non-extendable term of three years.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification (any one of the following):

• At least a BS in Engineering from a well-reputed institute or university accredited by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC); or
• Membership of a recognized body of Professional Accountants; or
• A professional with a 16-year degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or Management Sciences from an HEC-recognized institute.

2. Experience:

• Minimum 12 years of post-qualification experience relevant to the qualification and the role.
• This must include at least 3 years as a Chief Executive Officer, General Manager, Director (equivalent to BPS-19 or above), or a member of a governing body, in a public or private sector organization involved in field operations, service provision, or engineering projects.

3. Age: Up to 55 years as of the closing date of the advertisement. No age relaxation will be given.

Job Description & Responsibilities

1. Lead and guide the whole organization toward its overall objectives, including devising corporate strategy, formulating growth plans, and ensuring the best use of available resources.
2. Build a foundation for long-term benefits through strategic policy-making and continuous improvement, ensuring the organization's objectives align with government and Board of Directors' directions for essential services.
3. Shape organizational activities and make full use of employee potential to deliver quality services at every level, while fostering a friendly, positive work environment.
4. Promote a culture of best practices, work ethics, and zero tolerance for corruption, and help establish policies, procedures, and work practices for effectiveness and efficiency across all areas.
5. Allocate funds and capital according to organizational priorities and ensure reliable financial and operational data is available to stakeholders.
6. Carry out any other task assigned by the WSSP Board of Directors (BoD) or its committees.

A market-based, competitive salary will be offered, along with transport, medical, and life insurance, as per WSSP policy. No specific salary figure is stated.

Terms & Conditions

• Candidates with a 3rd Division, less than 1.66 CGPA, or less than 45% marks in graduation will not be considered.
• Any experience claimed in the application must be supported by relevant documents (experience and service certificates); unsupported experience will not be counted for that position. No documents can be added or changed after the closing date.
• Experience is only counted after the required academic degrees/certificates are received.
• Applicants with foreign qualifications or experience must provide an HEC Pakistan equivalency certificate by the closing date. In-progress certificates, degrees, or programs will not be considered.
• No age relaxation will be admissible.
• No TA/DA will be admissible for the test or interview.
• WSSP reserves the right to stop or cancel the recruitment process at any stage without providing a reason.
• If, at any stage of recruitment or selection, submitted documents are found inauthentic, forged, or fake, the candidature will be cancelled. WSSP reserves the right to accept or reject any bid or application, assigning a valid reason.
