The Engineering Wing, Sports & Youth Affairs Department, Government of Sindh, has announced 9 vacancies comprising 4 posts of Data Processing Assistant (BPS-12) and 5 posts of Junior Clerk (BPS-11). Eligible candidates must hold Sindh Province domicile, a Bachelor's/Graduation degree (2nd Division) in Computer Science, IT, or a general discipline with relevant computer certification, from an HEC-recognized institution, along with successful completion of the General Screening Test (40% passing score) conducted by Sukkur IBA Testing Services (STS), and must fall within an age limit of 21 to 28 years. Interested candidates should apply through the Government of Sindh Job Portal at sjp.gos.pk within 15 days of the advertisement's publication.

About the Organization

Applications from eligible candidates having domicile of Sindh Province are invited for the following vacancies in the Engineering Wing of Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Government of Sindh, as per the qualifications and experience indicated against each post.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Data Processing Assistant (BPS-12):

 (i) Bachelor's in Computer Science or IT, 16 years of education at least in Second Division or equivalent CGPA from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC); OR

 (ii) Graduation at least in Second Division with a Diploma in Computer Science or IT from an institute recognized by the Sindh Board of Technical Education (SBTE) or an institute recognized by the Government.

2. Junior Clerk (BPS-11):

 (i) Graduation at least in Second Division from any university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC); and

 (ii) Having a six months' certification course in MS Office from an institute recognized by the Sindh Board of Technical Education (SBTE)/Trade Testing Board.

General Instructions

Applicants who fulfill the following requirements may apply for the aforementioned vacancies on the job portal of the Government of Sindh at https://sjp.gos.pk/:

i. Applicants must have successfully passed the General Screening Test of the Graduation Category, with at least a passing score of 40%, conducted by the Sukkur IBA Testing Services (STS), and possess its certificate as required for appointment to the aforementioned post.

ii. The age of the applicant shall be calculated from the closing date of submission of application, as provided under Rule 7 of the Sindh Civil Servant (Relaxation of Upper Age Limit) Rule, 2024.

iii. General age relaxation shall be applicable as per Government of Sindh's policy.

iv. The share of quota reserved for the initial appointment shall adhere to law/rules/policy of the Government of Sindh.

v. Applicants already in Government Service should obtain a NOC from their department prior to submission of the application, and bring the original copy of the NOC at the time of interview for submission before the Departmental Selection Committee.

vi. The appointment shall be made as per the policy notified from time to time by the SGA&CD, Government of Sindh, vide Notification No. SOV(SGA&CD)8-27/2019(BS-5 to 15), dated 26.04.2023, 11.07.2023, and 21.11.2025, under provision of the Sindh Civil Servant Act, 1973, and its rules as amended time to time.

vii. Candidates shall be called for interview before the Departmental Selection Committee, as per the schedule to be uploaded on the Sindh Job Portal.

viii. Candidates must bring original documents at the time of interview.

ix. No TA & DA will be admissible for test/interview.
