About the Organization

Lady Reading Hospital – Medical Teaching Institution (LRH-MTI), Peshawar has invited applications for two categories of positions: Faculty Positions (Instructor to Professor level) across five specialties, and Specialist Registrar positions across five additional specialties. All posts are on a contract basis, governed by the Medical Teaching Institution Reform Act, 2015 and its amendments.

Eligibility Criteria

A. Faculty Positions

1. Cardiac Interventional (Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Professor)

• MBBS or an equivalent qualification recognized by PM&DC.
• A higher diploma in the relevant specialty, such as FCPS, American Board Certification, CCT Interventional, or an equivalent qualification recognized by PM&DC.
• Eligibility follows the prevailing KP-MTI Selection Criteria.

2. Cardiac Imaging (Instructor / Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Professor)

• MBBS or an equivalent qualification recognized by PM&DC.
• A higher diploma in the relevant specialty, such as FCPS, American Board Certification, or an equivalent qualification recognized by PM&DC.
• Eligibility follows the prevailing KP-MTI Selection Criteria.
• If an applicant does not meet the criteria for Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor, they may apply for Instructor instead.
• Candidates applying for Instructor must have cleared the Fellowship Examination in Cardiac Imaging or an equivalent recognized qualification.

3. Electrophysiologist (Instructor / Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Professor)

• Same structure as Cardiac Imaging above, with the Fellowship Examination requirement specific to Electrophysiology for the Instructor post.

4. Endocrinology (Instructor / Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Professor)

• Same structure as Cardiac Imaging above, with the Fellowship Examination requirement specific to Endocrinology for the Instructor post.

5. Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Professor)

• BDS or an equivalent qualification recognized by PM&DC.
• A higher diploma in the relevant specialty, such as FCPS, American Board Certification, or an equivalent qualification recognized by PM&DC.
• Eligibility follows the prevailing KP-MTI Selection Criteria.

B. Specialist Registrar Positions

1. Specialist Registrar — Paeds Cardiology / Cardiac Surgery / Adult Emergency Medicine / Obstetrics & Gynecology

• MBBS or an equivalent qualification duly recognized by PMDC.
• FCPS or an equivalent postgraduate qualification in the relevant specialty, duly recognized by PM&DC, obtained within the last 18 months before the closing date of the advertisement.
• Valid PMDC registration is required.

2. Specialist Registrar — Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

• BDS or an equivalent qualification duly recognized by PMDC.
• FCPS or an equivalent postgraduate qualification in the relevant specialty, duly recognized by PM&DC, obtained within the last 18 months before the closing date of the advertisement.
• Valid PMDC registration is required.

• Fee: Rs. 1,000, non-refundable.

Terms & Conditions

• The incumbent's service will be governed by the Rules and Regulations of the institution under the Medical Teaching Institution Reform Act, 2015, and its amendments.
• Candidates currently serving as civil servants, or in any other government, semi-government, autonomous, or private job, must resign from their previous post if selected at LRH-MTI.
• Any attempt to approach or influence the selection committee will automatically disqualify the applicant.
• The decision of the selection committee, as approved by the Board of Governors, is final. No correspondence regarding the process will be entertained after a final decision.
• Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview (Faculty Positions) or test/interview (Specialist Registrar Positions).
• The institution reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process at any stage.
