The People's University of Medical & Health Sciences for Women (PUMHSW), Shaheed Benazirabad, has announced 45 vacancies at its People's Institute of Dental & Oral Health Sciences. Teaching posts (27 total) span Professor to Demonstrator and Dental Surgeon ranks (BPS-17 to BPS-21) across Medical Pre-Clinical departments (Anatomy, Pharmacology, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology) and Basic Dental Faculty (Dental Material, Preventive & Community Dentistry, Oral Pathology, Oral Biology), offered on a Regular (Defined Contributory Pension Scheme) or Contract basis. Non-teaching supporting staff posts (18 total, BPS-7 to BPS-16) include Biomedical Engineer, Dental Surgery Assistant, Prosthetic and Ceramic Technicians, Laboratory Technicians, Radiographers, and others, on a 2-year contract. Eligibility for all posts follows HEC/PM&DC criteria, detailed on the university website. Only Sindh-domiciled candidates may apply. Applications must be submitted online at pumhs.edu.pk/careers.html, with a printed form, Rs. 2,500 non-refundable fee deposited at HBL, and required documents couriered to the Director HRM's office by 20 October 2026. Applications by hand will not be accepted, and no TA/DA is admissible. For queries, email hr@pumhs.edu.pk or call (0244) 930272.

About the Organization

The People's University of Medical & Health Sciences for Women (PUMHSW), Shaheed Benazirabad, Nawabshah, has invited applications from Sindh-domiciled, qualified candidates for faculty and non-teaching supporting staff positions at its People's Institute of Dental & Oral Health Sciences (PID&OHS). Teaching posts are offered on either a Regular (Defined Contributory Pension Scheme) basis or a Contract basis; non-teaching supporting staff posts are on a 2-year contract.

Eligibility Criteria

Pay Package

• Teaching posts (Professor to Demonstrator, and Dental Surgeon) follow their respective BPS scale (BPS-17 to BPS-21), offered on a Regular (Defined Contributory Pension Scheme) basis or on Contract.
• Non-teaching posts follow their respective BPS scale (BPS-7 to BPS-16), on a 2-year contract.
• Pay packages are admissible similar to the government BPS scales already in practice at PUMHSW-SBA, for faculty selected on either the regular or contributory pension scheme.

Terms & Conditions

• Only Sindh-domiciled candidates can apply.
• Age limits for regular and contributory pension scheme posts follow government policy; for contract-basis positions, the age limit is up to 65 years.
• The percentage in the Contributory Pension Scheme will follow Government of Sindh policy.
• Incomplete applications will not be entertained, and canvassing may disqualify the candidate.
• All information will be kept confidential.
• The name of the post must be clearly mentioned on the right corner of the envelope.
• Candidates applying for more than one post must follow the process separately for each vacancy, along with separate challan fees.
• The university reserves the right to cancel any advertised post, in part or as a whole.
• Only shortlisted candidates will be called for further assessment by the Selection Board.
• Candidates working in government, semi-government, autonomous, or semi-autonomous bodies must apply through the proper channel, with departmental permission (NOC), and an advance copy of the application form must reach the office before the due date. Without an NOC, candidates will not be eligible to appear before the Selection Board.
• All documents and experience will be verified; false or misleading documents will result in disqualification.
• No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the written test or interview.
• Women, differently-abled, and minority quotas will be followed as per Government of Sindh policy.
• The resultant vacancy will be filled by the Selection Board during the process.
• Candidates must submit PM&DC/HEC eligibility and experience certificates for the relevant post, valid till the closing date, except those already working at PUMHSW-SBA on a regular basis (as per policy approved through statutory bodies).
• Experience and research publications will only be counted till the closing date.

Application Fee

• Fee: Rs. 2,500, non-refundable.
• Payment method: After submitting the online application, download the system-generated bank challan and deposit it at Habib Bank Limited (HBL), Account No. 1439-79013279-01, titled "PUMHSW Other Receipts Account."
• The original paid challan must be attached with the application form and documents.

• One set of attested photocopies of relevant education, experience, and residential documents, including Domicile, PRC, Form "D," and a valid CNIC
• Matriculation Certificate/Marks Sheet and all other degrees and credentials
• Valid PM&DC Registration Certificate
• Revised PM&DC Experience Certificate
• Copies of research publications (where required)

How to Apply

2. Upload the required documents, a recent photograph, and the deposited bank challan when applying online.
3. Print the completed application form.
4. Deposit the Rs. 2,500 non-refundable fee at HBL, Account No. 1439-79013279-01, and keep the original paid challan.
5. Compile the printed form, paid challan, and all required documents into a compact, bound set.
6. Courier the complete set, via Certified Mail/Courier Service only, to the Office of the Director HRM, PUMHSW (SBA). Applications submitted by hand will not be accepted.
7. Submit before the deadline: 20 October 2026.
