The University of Health Sciences (UHS), Lahore has announced 6 contract-based vacancies for 2026, open to Punjab-domiciled candidates: Professor (Medical Education, BPS-20), Director Quality Enhancement Cell/IQAE (BPS-20), Deputy Registrar (BPS-18), Deputy Controller of Examinations (BPS-18), Network Administrator (BPS-17), and Database Administrator (BPS-17). Qualifications range from an MBBS with postgraduate medical education credentials and research publications for the Professor post, to MS/MPhil or Master’s degrees with 12–15 years of administrative experience for the Director post, and MS/BE degrees with 2–3 years of IT experience for the Network and Database Administrator posts. The age limit for all posts is up to 55 years. Applicants must apply online via portals.uhs.edu.pk/jobs, pay a Rs. 2,000 processing fee through 1Link or Bank of Punjab, and submit a signed hardcopy with required documents in person or by courier to the HR Department, UHS, Khayaban-e-Jamia Punjab, Lahore, by 30 October 2026. Selected candidates may be posted at the City or Jinnah Campus KSK. No TA/DA is admissible. For queries, contact the Registrar at 042-99231305.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Professor (Medical Education) – BPS-20 – 01 Post

• Basic Qualification: MBBS or equivalent medical/dental qualification, recognized/registered by PM&DC.
• Postgraduate (Additional) Qualification: Level IIb or Level III postgraduate degree or diploma in Medical Education, Health Professions Education, or a related field, recognized by PM&DC.
• Experience: At least 3 years as Associate Professor in the relevant subject, OR 9 years of teaching experience as Assistant Professor in the relevant subject.
• Research Publications: 6 research publications as Associate Professor are required in the relevant subject.
• Remarks: A total of 15 research publications in the relevant subject, of which 6 should be from the last 3 years. Level-IIb holders are eligible to become Professor.
• Age limit: Up to 55 years.

2. Director Quality Enhancement Cell/IQAE – BPS-20 – 01 Post

• Qualification (any one):MS/MPhil or equivalent degree (18 years’ education) in Health/Medical Education/Life Sciences/Management Sciences, duly recognized by HEC, with 12 years’ experience in administration/management in an HEC-recognized public-sector university/degree-awarding institute, or a public-sector organization in BPS-17 or equivalent and above; or
• Master’s or equivalent degree (16 years’ education) in Health/Medical Education/Life Sciences/Management Sciences, duly recognized by HEC, with 15 years’ experience in administration/management in an HEC-recognized public-sector university/degree-awarding institute, or a public-sector organization in BPS-17 or equivalent and above.
• Age limit: Up to 55 years.

3. Deputy Registrar – BPS-18 – 01 Post

• Qualification: M.A./M.Sc./MPA/MBA from an HEC-recognized university, with 5 years of administrative experience, OR MBBS with 5 years of teaching/administrative experience.
• Age limit: Up to 55 years.

4. Deputy Controller of Examinations – BPS-18 – 01 Post

• Qualification: M.A./M.Sc./MPA/MBA from an HEC-recognized university, with 5 years of administrative experience, OR MBBS with 5 years of teaching/administrative experience.
• Age limit: Up to 55 years.

5. Network Administrator – BPS-17 – 01 Post

• Qualification: MS in Computer Sciences/BE in Engineering from an HEC-recognized university, with 2–3 years of experience in Network Administration and Management.
• Age limit: Up to 55 years.

6. Database Administrator – BPS-17 – 01 Post

• Qualification: MS in Computer Sciences/BCS/BE in Engineering from an HEC-recognized university, with 2–3 years of experience in Database Administration.
• Skills: Good oral and written communication skills, good presentation skills, in-depth knowledge of current leading database development tools, middleware tools, hardware platforms, and operating systems. Well-versed in multitier vs client/server models of software systems and database technologies (e.g., Transactional, Relational, Object Oriented & Distributed Database) in general.
• Age limit: Up to 55 years.

Terms & Conditions

• Only Punjab-domiciled candidates can apply.
• Appointments will be made on a contract basis, per UHS Service Statutes 2005.
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in a reputable Public Sector Medical University/Institution.
• Experience, where prescribed, includes equivalent experience in a profession, or in the service of an autonomous body, semi-autonomous organization, or well-reputed private organization.
• Only post-qualification experience will be considered for eligibility.
• Relaxation in the upper age limit may be granted to suitable candidates, as per the statutes/rules of the Government of Punjab.
• Selected candidates can be posted at any campus of the university (City Campus or Jinnah Campus KSK).
• Incomplete applications, or those received after the due date, will not be accepted.
• The university reserves the right to increase/decrease or totally withdraw the vacancies, without assigning any reason.
• The university reserves the right to conduct any test/screening for shortlisting candidates.

• Payment method: Print the system-generated fee challan and deposit it through 1Link or at any branch of Bank of Punjab. The deposited amount is non-refundable/non-transferable.

4. Submit a signed hardcopy/printout of the pre-filled online application form, with all attached documents, in person or via courier, to the Office of the Human Resource Department, Room # 12, University of Health Sciences, Khayaban-e-Jamia Punjab, Lahore.
5. Submit before the deadline: 30 October 2026, within office hours.
