The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC), Lahore, has announced 299 vacancies under Advertisement No. 11/2026, spanning 13 posts across seven departments. About the Organization
The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC), Lahore, has invited online applications for 13 posts across seven government departments: Livestock & Dairy Development Department (Extension Wing), Housing Urban Development & Public Health Engineering Department (PHATA), Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department, Special Branch (Punjab Police Department), Youth Affairs & Sports Department, Programme Management Unit of Agriculture Department, and the Directorate of Breed Improvement, Livestock & Dairy Development Department.


Eligibility Criteria
178. Senior Veterinary Officer/Assistant Director (various titles) – BS-18 – 61 Posts
Quota: Open Merit 56, Special Person 02, Minority 03
- Qualification (any one):PhD in Veterinary Sciences or Animal Husbandry with a basic Veterinary Sciences degree; or
- M.Phil/M.Sc. (Hons.) in Veterinary Sciences or Animal Husbandry (2nd division) with a basic degree, plus 3 years of experience in BS-17 or equivalent private-sector experience, duly accredited by the Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council as per L&DD Department SOP; or
- Master's degree (2nd division) in Project Management, Management Sciences, Policy Studies, Economics, Development or Business Administration, with a basic Veterinary Sciences degree, plus 4 years of similar experience; or
- DVM degree with 5 years of similar experience.
- Other requirement: Valid registration with the Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council (PVMC), issued on or before the closing date (with specific exceptions for pending initial/renewal registrations, as detailed in the ad).
- Age: Male 30–45 (+5 relaxation = 50 years max); Female 30–45 (+8 relaxation = 53 years max).

- Test: One MCQ paper, 100 marks, 90 minutes — Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (100%).
179. Deputy Director (T.P) – BS-18 – 02 Posts (Open Merit)
- Qualification: B.Sc. City & Regional Planning from a recognized university, registered with PCATP, with minimum 7 years of relevant experience. Valid PCATP registration on or before the closing date is required.
- Age: Male 21–28 (+5 = 33 years); Female 21–28 (+8 = 36 years).
- Domicile: All Punjab. Posting: Anywhere in Punjab.
- Test: One MCQ paper, 100 marks, 90 minutes — qualification-related questions (100%).
180. Deputy Director (Engg) – BS-18 – 02 Posts (Open Merit)
- Qualification: B.Sc. (Engg) in Civil Engineering from a recognized university, with minimum 7 years of relevant experience. M.Sc. (Engg) in Civil (18 years education) with 3 years' experience is preferred. Valid PEC registration on or before the closing date is required.
- Age: Male 21–40 (+5 = 45 years); Female 21–40 (+8 = 48 years).

- Test: One MCQ paper, 100 marks, 90 minutes — qualification (B.Sc. Civil Engineering) related questions (100%).
181. Assistant Accounts Officer – BS-17 – 12 Posts
Quota: Open Merit 11, Minority 01
- Qualification: B.Com (Hons)/MBSM/ACCA/M.Com/Inter C.A./BBA (Bachelor in Business Administration)/MBA (Master in Business Administration)/BS (Accounting & Finance). ACCA membership certificate is mandatory.
- Age: Male 21–30 (+5 = 35 years); Female 21–30 (+8 = 38 years).
- Domicile: All Punjab. Posting: Anywhere in PHATA Punjab.
- Test: One MCQ paper, 100 marks, 90 minutes — Accounting, Finance, and Auditing (100%).
182. Senior Registrar Medicine – BS-18 – 53 Posts
Quota: Open Merit 41, Special Person 01, Minority 03, Women 08
- Qualification: MBBS or equivalent from a PMC-recognized institute, with FCPS/MS/FRCS/MRCP/MD or Diplomat of American Board in the respective specialty. If unavailable, MBBS with FCPS/MS/FRCS/MRCP/MD/Diplomat (General Surgery or Medicine) plus 3 years of post-graduation practical experience in the specialty.
- Note: PMDC/PMC registration must be valid up to the closing date. Experience must be from a recognized institution, issued by the appointing authority/PMDC/PMC, with specific conditions for government-sector, OPS/designated, and foreign/private institution experience (see full ad for detailed sub-clauses).
- Age: Male 25–45 (+5 = 50 years); Female 25–45 (+8 = 53 years).

183. Senior Registrar Paediatric Ophthalmology – BS-18 – 03 Posts
Quota: Open Merit 02, Women 01
- Qualification: MBBS or equivalent, registered with PM&DC, with FCPS/MS/FRCS/Diplomat American Board in Paediatric Ophthalmology, or FCPS/MS/FRCS/Diplomat American Board in Ophthalmology with 1 year of post-graduation experience in Paediatric Ophthalmology.

184. Senior Registrar Cardiac Anesthesia – BS-18 – 07 Posts
Quota: Open Merit 05, Women 02
- Qualification: MBBS or equivalent from a PMC-recognized institution, with FCPS in Cardiac Anesthesia, Diplomat American Board in Cardiac Anesthesia, or FRCA with CST in Cardiac Anesthesia. If unavailable, FCPS/Diplomat American Board/FRCA/MS in Anesthesia plus 1 year of practical experience in Cardiac Anesthesia.

185. Senior Registrar Paediatric Cardiology – BS-18 – 03 Posts
Quota: Open Merit 01, Special Person 01, Women 01
- Qualification: MBBS or equivalent, registered with PMC, with FCPS/MD/CCT/Diplomat American Board in Paediatric Cardiology. If unavailable, FCPS/MD (Paediatrics)/MRCPCH/Diplomat American Board of Paediatrics with 1 year of Paediatric Cardiology experience (from a CPSP or university-accredited institution); if still unavailable, the same with 2 years of experience.

186. Senior Registrar Surgery – BS-18 – 41 Posts
Quota: Open Merit 34, Special Persons 04, Minority 02, Women 01
- Qualification: MBBS or equivalent from a PMC-recognized institute, with FCPS/MS/FRCS/MRCP/MD or Diplomat of American Board in the respective specialty. If unavailable, the same with 3 years of post-graduation practical experience in the specialty.

187. Intelligence Officer – BS-14 – 30 Posts (Special Branch, Punjab Police)
Quota: Includes 01 Special Person, 01 Minority, 05 Women
- Qualification (any one):Graduation (2nd division) from an HEC-recognized university, with basic computer knowledge; or
- Graduate (2nd division) from an HEC-recognized university, with 5 years of experience in the Intelligence Wing of Law Enforcing Agencies.
- Note: Only practical experience after the prescribed qualification is accepted.
- Age: Male 21–35 (+5 = 40 years); Female 21–35 (+8 = 43 years).
- Domicile: All Punjab. Posting: Anywhere in Punjab.
- Test: One MCQ paper, 100 marks, 90 minutes — General Ability including General Knowledge, Pakistan Studies, Current Affairs, Islamic Studies (General Knowledge for non-Muslim candidates), Geography, Basic Mathematics, English, Urdu, and Everyday Science (approx. 80%); Basic Computer Studies (approx. 20%).
188. Tehsil Sports Officer/Officer Incharge/Administrator/Caretaker – BS-16 – 37 Posts
Quota: Open Merit 27, Special Persons 05, Minority 02, Women 03
- Qualification (any one):Master's degree (2nd division) in Physical Education or Sports Sciences from an HEC-recognized university; or
- Bachelor's degree (2nd division) from an HEC-recognized university, and selected as an International player.
- Age: Male 18–25 (+5 = 30 years); Female 18–25 (+8 = 33 years).

- Test: One MCQ paper, 100 marks, 90 minutes — Qualification-related questions (50%); General Ability including General Knowledge, Pakistan Studies, Current Affairs, Islamic Studies, Geography, Basic Mathematics, English, Urdu, Everyday Science, and Basic Computer Studies (50%).
189. Assistant Regional Manager – BS-17 – 08 Posts (Programme Management Unit, Agriculture Dept.)
Quota: Open Merit 07, Women 01
- Qualification (any one):B.Sc. Agricultural Engineering from an HEC-recognized university (at least 2nd division or equivalent), with PEC registration; or
- B.Sc. Civil/Mechanical Engineering from an HEC-recognized university (at least 2nd division or equivalent), with PEC registration.
- Age: Male 20–35 (+5 = 40 years); Female 20–35 (+8 = 43 years).

- Test: One MCQ paper, 100 marks, 90 minutes — Qualification-related questions (Agricultural, Civil & Mechanical Engineering) (approx. 60%); General Knowledge, Pakistan Studies, Current Affairs, Geography, English, Urdu, Basic Mathematics, Everyday Science, Basic Computer Studies (approx. 40%).
190. Veterinary Officer (Veterinary Officer/Semen Distribution Officer/Instructor) – BS-17 – 40 Posts
Quota: Open Merit 29, Special Persons 03, Minority 02, Women 06
- Qualification: DVM degree from a recognized university, with a valid registration with the Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council (PVMC), issued on or before the closing date (with specific exceptions for pending initial/renewal registrations, as detailed in the ad).
- Age: Male 21–30 (+5 = 35 years); Female 21–30 (+8 = 38 years).
- Domicile: Punjab. Posting: All Punjab.
- Test: One MCQ paper, 100 marks, 90 minutes — Questions related to DVM (100%).
- Contract: 5 years.
Important Instructions (General, All Posts)

- Test schedules and syllabi, if any, will only be issued on the official PPSC website. Candidates must visit the website frequently for updates.
- Employees of the Federal Government, Semi-Government, Autonomous Bodies of the Federal Government, and Local Bodies are not entitled to age concession for their period of service in such organizations.
- Candidates claiming equivalent qualifications must submit an equivalence certificate from HEC or the relevant department's Qualification Equivalence Determination Committee (QEDC) at interview, or their candidature will be cancelled.
- Candidates claiming private-sector experience must bring proof at interview that the firm/entity was registered with SECP, the Registrar of Firms, or another regulatory authority during the claimed experience period.
- In-service candidates must ensure they have obtained/applied for an NOC/DPC from their department and provide it at interview, if called.
- Candidates must ensure they have obtained/applied for registration with PEC/PNC/PMDC/PMC/PVMC (as applicable) on or before the closing date and provide it at interview, if called.
- Candidates must provide marks obtained/total marks or a percentage certificate for all degrees, issued by the Competent Authority, at interview. CGPA is not acceptable.
- No information shared by anyone other than via the official PPSC website is authentic.
- The Shorthand Test and Typing & Proficiency Test, if required, will only be held in Lahore.
- In case of variation (increase/decrease) in the number of posts by the concerned department, no fresh applications will be invited.
