Heavy Mechanical Complex (HMC) has announced contract-based managerial vacancies in 2026 for five positions: Deputy General Manager (Supply Chain Management), Manager (Contracts), Manager (Project Planning & Scheduling), Manager (Proposals & Estimation), and Manager (Sales & Marketing). All posts require a BE/BSc in Engineering, with 10 to 12 years of relevant post-qualification experience depending on the role, spanning supply chain, contract management, project planning, cost estimation, or sales and business development within engineering, manufacturing, or EPC-related industries. The ad does not state the number of vacancies per post, an age limit, salary details, or a closing date. Interested candidates meeting the criteria should apply by sending their application via email to careers@hmc.com.pk.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Dy. Gen. Manager (Supply Chain Management)

• Education: BE/BSc Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 12 years of relevant post-qualification experience in the SCM/procurement department of a large-scale manufacturing industry.
• Preferred: Hands-on experience dealing with import agencies, as well as local and foreign vendors, for SCM-related matters.
• Required proficiency: PPRA rules, imports, and vendor management related to Steel Manufacturing/Foundry, FMCG, and EPC procurement.

2. Manager (Contracts)

• Education: BE/BSc Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant post-qualification experience in Contract Management, Commercial Administration, Contractual Compliance, and Risk Management & Claim activities.
• Preferred: Hands-on experience in industrial/manufacturing contracts, project contracts, claims, variations, commercial negotiations, and contract administration.
• Required skills: Strong understanding of contractual terms, commercial practices, risk management, claims management, and contract lifecycle management.

3. Manager (Project Planning & Scheduling)

• Education: BE/BSc Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant post-qualification experience in Heavy Engineering, Fabrication, Manufacturing, EPC, Industrial Projects, or Project Planning & Controls.
• Preferred: Hands-on experience in Primavera P6, project scheduling, fabrication planning, production control, resource planning, progress monitoring, and project controls.
• Required skills: Strong knowledge of WBS, baseline development, critical path analysis, resource-loaded scheduling, S-curves, manpower/resource histograms, delay analysis, recovery planning, and schedule risk management.

4. Manager (Proposals & Estimation)

• Education: BE/BSc Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant post-qualification experience in technical and commercial proposal preparation, cost estimation, tender evaluation, pricing, BOQ analysis, contract review, and commercial negotiations.
• Required skills: Strong understanding of project costing, estimation methodologies, pricing strategies, contractual terms, commercial risk assessment, and profitability analysis. Sound knowledge of engineering drawings, specifications, BOQs, material take-offs, fabrication/manufacturing processes, procurement, and project execution requirements. Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project, and other estimation, costing, planning, and analytical tools.

5. Manager (Sales & Marketing)

• Education: BE/BSc Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant post-qualification experience, preferably in sales, marketing, business development, or commercial functions within an engineering, manufacturing, industrial, or project-based organization.
• Preferred: Experience in industrial sales, EPC/project business, engineering products, heavy machinery, energy, Oil & Gas, cement, sugar, or infrastructure sectors.
• Required skills: Strong understanding of B2B sales, business development, market intelligence, contract/commercial evaluation, and customer relationship management.
