About the Organization

Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation (PMDC) is a state-owned enterprise under the Ministry of Energy, Petroleum Division, Government of Pakistan. PMDC is responsible for the exploration, mining, and marketing of various minerals. It has invited applications for three positions on contract/permanent and open contract bases.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Marketing/Export Promotion Officer – Salt Business – 01 Post

• Education: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Business, Commerce, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of post-qualification relevant experience in sales, marketing, export promotion, or international business development, preferably in salt, minerals, food products, FMCG, or commodities.
• Age limit: 35 years on the last date of application submission.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Identify and develop new customers, distributors, dealers, importers, exporters, retailers, and institutional buyers.
• Identify and develop new domestic and international markets using market intelligence, data analytics, and BI tools to generate qualified sales leads.
• Promote PMDC salt products through digital marketing, social media, B2B platforms, exhibitions, trade fairs, business meetings, and other promotional channels.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships, with effective follow-up of inquiries and leads.
• Prepare quotations, commercial offers, product presentations, and samples in coordination with relevant departments.
• Explore opportunities for bulk, retail, food-grade, industrial, value-added, and private-label salt products in local and export markets.
• Assist with export-related activities, including documentation, shipment arrangements, and payment terms.
• Support management in preparing and achieving local and export sales targets and annual marketing plans.

2. Maintenance Lead/Sr. Associate – 01 Post

• Education: Bachelor's in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical) from an HEC-recognized institution.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience in electrical/mechanical operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, preferably at mining, industrial, or heavy engineering sites.
• Age limit: Maximum 40 years on the last date of application submission. Age relaxation is admissible as per applicable rules.
• Preference: Candidates with Balochistan domicile will be preferred.
• Place of posting: PMDC Project/Mining Site, Balochistan.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment and project facilities.
• Ensure equipment availability, timely troubleshooting, and minimum operational downtime, in coordination with production and mine engineering teams.
• Prepare and monitor maintenance schedules, inspections, records, and reports, and supervise maintenance staff and contractors.
• Conduct root cause analysis, identify process and cost improvements, and ensure compliance with safety requirements and approved SOPs.

3. Associate (Electrical) – 01 Post

• Education: Minimum B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical from an HEC-recognized institution.
• Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of relevant post-qualification experience in electrical operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, preferably at mining, industrial, or heavy engineering sites.
• Age limit: Maximum 47 years on the last date of application submission. Age relaxation is admissible as per applicable rules.
• Preference: Candidates with Balochistan domicile will be preferred.
• Place of posting: PMDC Project/Mining Site, Balochistan.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment, machinery, and installations at mining/project sites.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults and breakdowns to minimize equipment downtime and ensure continuity of operations.
• Inspect, repair, and maintain motors, control panels, power distribution systems, switchgear, and other electrical installations.
• Assist in installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems, as required.
• Carry out routine inspections and scheduled maintenance, maintaining proper records of electrical maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures, HSE requirements, and applicable standards.
• Provide day-to-day electrical support for smooth and uninterrupted mining/project operations.

Pay Package

• Marketing/Export Promotion Officer: Market-based negotiable salary, on a permanent basis under an open-term contract.
• Maintenance Lead/Sr. Associate and Associate (Electrical): Market-based negotiable salary, under an open-term contract.
