About the Organization

Power Planning & Monitoring Company (PPMC) is mandated to provide policy and technical support to the Ministry of Energy (Power Division), undertake integrated planning of Pakistan’s power sector, develop and implement strategic plans for the power sector, and administer, monitor, and evaluate the performance of power-sector entities under approved policies/plans. PPMC has invited applications for one position who can perform the tasks assigned to the Company.

Eligibility Criteria

Senior Team Lead (R&D Secretariat) – 01 Post

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities (SKA):

• Education: Bachelor’s degree (required) or Master’s degree (preferred) in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, from a PEC-accredited institution, or any other relevant degree from a recognized university.
• Experience: Minimum 8 years of post-qualification professional experience in the power sector, power planning, hydropower, renewable energy, power-system studies, R&D, innovation, project development, project management, or donor-funded programs.
• Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Pakistan’s power sector, including generation, transmission, distribution, sector planning, regulatory framework, energy transition, renewables, energy storage, and institutional reform.
• Skills: Excellent analytical, drafting, communication, presentation, coordination, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Advantage: Knowledge of donor-funded programs, public-sector procedures, procurement processes, project monitoring, applied research, emerging technologies, and international best practices in the energy sector.

Candidates must possess strong interpersonal, leadership, communication, drafting, analytical, problem-solving, and IT skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, work effectively under pressure, and exercise sound judgment based on accurate and timely analysis.

Remuneration & Age:

• A market-based, competitive remuneration package will be offered, commensurate with skills and experience, as per company policy.
• Age limit: Maximum 50 years as of the closing date of the advertisement. No age relaxation will be permitted.
