The Special Education Department, Government of the Punjab, has announced 12 vacancies for School Teaching Interns (STIs) across Special Education Institutions in DG Khan Division, spanning Districts Muzaffargarh, Kot Adu, and Rajanpur, for positions including Computer Teacher, Speech Therapist, JSET (PD/HI), SSET (VI/HI), and Psychologist. Eligible candidates must hold relevant qualifications (BS/MA/MSc) in fields like Special Education, Computer Sciences, or Psychology from HEC-recognized universities, with an age limit of 21–28 years (age relaxation available for males, females, and disabled persons), and engagement is on a temporary, 9-month basis under Financial Year 2026-27 with monthly honoraria of Rs. 40,000 (BS-16) or Rs. 45,000 (BS-17). Interested candidates should submit their application with required documents to the concerned Special Education Institution by hand or courier by September 25, 2026, with district-wise interviews scheduled between September 28 and October 1, 2026.

About the Opportunity

Special Education Department is inviting applications from eligible candidates for hiring of School Teaching Interns (STIs) against vacant teaching posts in Special Education Institutions of DG Khan Division — i.e., District Muzaffargarh, Kot Adu, and Rajanpur — from Punjab Province, under the STIs Policy of the Government of the Punjab, Special Education Department.

Age Relaxation: Male — up to 5 years; Female — up to 8 years; Disabled Persons — up to 15 years (subject to disability certificate).

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must possess the prescribed qualification and age limit (including age relaxation) as per the STI Policy issued by the Special Education Department. Fresh aspiring candidates with relevant qualifications are encouraged to apply; however, preference may be given to candidates with teaching experience.

Terms & Conditions

• Engagement shall be purely temporary, school-specific, and non-transferable.
• Preference may be given to candidates having teaching experience.
• Duration: 9 months (excluding summer vacations) during Financial Year 2026-27, or until the arrival of regular incumbents, whichever is earlier.
• Monthly Honorarium: BS-16: Rs. 40,000; BS-17: Rs. 45,000.
• No right of regular appointment shall be conferred.
• Performance and attendance will be strictly monitored by concerned authorities.
• Engagement may be terminated on one month's notice or payment in lieu thereof.

• Applications must reach the concerned Special Education Institution by hand or courier by September 25, 2026.
• Incomplete or late applications shall not be entertained.
• Candidates must bring original documents at the time of interview.
• The department reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of posts, or cancel the recruitment process at any stage.
• Interviews of eligible/shortlisted candidates will be held as per the date, time, and venue below; special intimation regarding appearance in interviews via letter, SMS, and email will not be issued.
