The Government of Sindh, Information Department has announced 53 vacancies across 9 categories: Stenographer (4), Steno Typist (17), Photographer (10), Junior Clerk (15), Calligraphist (1), Assistant Cameraman (1), Dark Room Attendant (3), Telephone Operator (1), and Electrician (1), open to Sindh-domiciled candidates. Qualifications range from Matriculation to a Bachelor’s degree, with technical certificates and 2 years of experience required for several posts. The age limit is 18–28 years, with 5 years of relaxation. All applicants must have already passed the relevant Sukkur IBA Testing Service (STS) General Screening Test with at least 40% marks and hold its certificate. Quotas of 15% Women, 5% Minority, and 5% Disabled apply. Applications must be submitted online through sjp.gos.pk within 15 days of the advertisement’s publication, and shortlisted candidates must appear before the Departmental Selection Committee with original documents. No TA/DA is admissible for interview. For queries, contact the Director (Admin. & Accounts), Information Department, Government of Sindh.

About the Organization

The Government of Sindh, Information Department has invited applications from eligible male and female candidates holding Domicile and Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) of Sindh Province for 9 categories of vacancies.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Stenographer – BPS-14 – 04 Posts

• Education: Bachelor’s degree, at least 2nd Division or equivalent CGPA, from an HEC-recognized university.
• Skills: 6-month certificate in Shorthand and English Typing from an institute recognized by the Sindh Board of Technical Education (SBTE); speed of 120 wpm in Shorthand and 35 wpm in English typing on computer; a Certificate in MS Office from an SBTE-recognized institute.
• Age limit: 21–28 years.

2. Steno Typist – BPS-14 – 17 Posts

• Education: Bachelor’s degree, at least 2nd Division or equivalent CGPA, from an HEC-recognized university.
• Skills: 6-month certificate in Shorthand and English Typing from an SBTE-recognized institute; speed of 120 wpm in Shorthand and 35 wpm in English typing on computer; a Certificate in MS Office from an SBTE-recognized institute.
• Age limit: 21–28 years.

3. Photographer – BPS-13 – 10 Posts

• Education: Graduation, at least 2nd Division or equivalent CGPA, from a recognized Board of Education.
• Skills: 6-month to 1-year Diploma in Photography; 1–2 years of experience handling Digital/HD Cameras, photography, and archiving.
• Age limit: 21–28 years.

4. Junior Clerk – BPS-11 – 15 Posts

• Education: Graduation, at least 2nd Division, from an HEC-recognized university.
• Skills: 6-month Certificate Course in MS Office from an institute recognized by the Sindh Board of Technical Education/Trade Testing Board.
• Age limit: 21–28 years.

5. Calligraphist – BPS-08 – 01 Post

• Education: Intermediate, at least “C” Grade, from a recognized Board of Education.
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience in Calligraphy, art, pasting, publication.
• Age limit: 18–28 years.

6. Assistant Cameraman – BPS-08 – 01 Post

• Education: Intermediate, at least “C” Grade, from a recognized Board of Education.
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience in video recording of Old and New Digital/HD systems, archiving, preserving, and other related techniques/processes.
• Age limit: 18–28 years.

7. Dark Room Attendant – BPS-05 – 03 Posts

• Education: Matriculation, at least “C” Grade, from a recognized Board of Education.
• Experience: 2 years of practical experience in photography, developing, and printing of films.
• Age limit: 18–28 years.

8. Telephone Operator – BPS-05 – 01 Post

• Education: Matriculation, at least “C” Grade, from a recognized Board of Education.
• Age limit: 18–28 years.

9. Electrician – BPS-05 – 01 Post

• Education: Matriculation, at least “C” Grade, from a recognized Board of Education.
• Experience: 2 years of practical experience in the relevant field, with a certified Electrician Course.
• Age limit: 18–28 years.

General Instructions

• Applicants who fulfill the requirements should apply for the vacancies on the Job Portal of the Government of Sindh: http://sjp.gos.pk.
• Applicants must have successfully passed the General Screening Test (Bachelor, Intermediate, or Matriculation category, as applicable) with at least 40% marks, conducted by the Sukkur IBA Testing Service (STS), and possess its certificate, as required for appointment to these posts.
• Age will be calculated from the closing date of submission of applications, under Rule-7 of the Sindh Civil Servants (Relaxation of Upper Age Limit) Rules, 2024. The upper age relaxation limit is 5 years, as provided in Notification No. SOII(SGA&CD)564/2011(Part-II), dated 06.03.2025.
• Candidates will be governed by the “Defined Contribution Pension Scheme 2024” after appointment.
• Quota reserved for initial appointment — 15% Women, 5% Minority, and 5% Disabled — will be observed as per the Law, Rules, and Policy of the Government of Sindh.
• Applicants already in government service should obtain an NOC from their department prior to submission of the application, and bring the original copy of the NOC at the time of interview for submission before the Departmental Selection Committee.
• Appointments will be made as per the Policy notified by the Government of Sindh on 26-04-2023, under the provisions of the Sindh Civil Servants Act, 1973/74, and its Rules, as amended from time to time.
• Applicants should appear before the Departmental Selection Committee, along with original documents, for interview as per the schedule to be uploaded on the Job Portal.
• No TA/DA will be admissible for interview.
